So, the reason I didn't post anything last month was because Wix changed my dashboard around and I couldn't figure out how to post a new blog entry. It was easier before because it was right there: Create New Post. It disappeared off my dashboard and I haven't been able to find it. Today I was determined to find it and after much searching, I found it. Why Wix hid it is anyone's guess, but I'm back in, again.
Actual book news will commence now.
Smashwords just wrapped up their annual Read-An-EBook Week sale. I listed the books at 50% off this sale, just to see if they would actually sell. It still brought the price down to under $3, but until I get the sales reports from D2D at the end of the month, I won't know if anything sold. I used to get sales notifications from Smashwords whenever I got a sale, but Draft2Digital doesn't do that and D2D and I are not getting along right now.
....Mainly because they keep sending me these smarmy emails saying how great and easy they are to utilize and they aren't at all. I hate that they more or less dismantled my author page on Smashwords--including my interview I did with Smashwords way back when. And when I tried to set up an author page on D2D--because they said it's so easy--I wasn't able to. I wasn't even able to fix the mistakes or add the books they omitted. So, in my comments, I directed any potential readers to what's left of my Smashwords page.
In other news, it is Cemetery Moon's fifteenth anniversary this month. I reread it last week to freshen my memory of it. I did revise the paperback version, I think five or so years ago, and it is much better than the digital version. Why don't I revise the digital version, too? Because the original file is so old, I can't access it with the Word program I have atm. I'm hoping in the future I can go back and fix it, but since we're not talking major rewrite, it's not a priority now. Anyway, I'm trying to think of some kind of promotional thingie I can do to commemorate its anniversay, so stay tuned.
Wow, sorry this post is so long. Especially since I just wanted everyone to know I'm still kicking and still doing book things. Hopefully next month, I'll remember how I got to create a new blog post. Fingers crossed. Until next time. Happy Spring!
