Yep. I suck at marketing my books. I hate jumping up and down yelling at people to buy my books. I love writing books. I hate marketing them. So, I came up with a fun contest idea that worked for me in the past as detailed in my last post, but this time, that idea took off as successfully as lead balloons. I guess I didn't get out there and jump up and down and yell about the blog post like I should have and I didn't get one response. I keep hoping my fans will do the legwork for me and spread the word about how great my books are, but that doesn't happen. I'm either going to have to start jumping up and down and yelling about things, or just keep to myself and not sell any books.
I am very happy with Nightfall's Angel. It came out better than I originally wrote it and I think it's a fun, light-hearted romance with two favorite characters of mine. I've sent out the first couple of shipments, but outside of the eBook sales, the paperbacks--as usual--are not selling. I wasn't even going to publish this novel in paperback format for this very reason, but I still like real books to the point I considered also publishing it in hardcover format, but I know for a fact, no one would pay for a hardcover version of any of my books except me. Vanity aside, I really have to turn my attention back to my eBooks.
That said, Smashwords is having their annual Summer/Winter Sale now through the 31st of July. All my eBooks published there are enrolled and all are 75% off the retail except for Cemetery Moon and The Angel of All That Matters, which are both free. It's my usual sale price there. Now, as far as Amazon's Kindle Unlimited, if you are enrolled in that, you can get Nightfall's Angel free all the time. No sale needed. So, go grab yourself some free and cheap eBooks for some tasty summer reading.
Okay, I've prattled on long enough for this post. Time to get out there and sell, sell, sell!
