Nada, Zip, Zilch...

paranoir2

I can't believe it's been three months since my last post, but then again, yes, I can. There just hasn't been much going on that I can blog about. There was an eBook sale in March that I fully intended to promote here, but social media tends to reach my faithful better than the blog here can or ever will. It's not like this site has all kinds of hits going on.

And speaking of this website, this may be the last year for it. The cost of upkeeping it, just to post a blog now and then, is too expensive. I know I don't promote it well--I don't promote my books well, either--but there is little to no interaction here and keeping it and paying the renewal fees is not worth it. If/when I do take down this webpage, I will keep blogging somewhere else. I haven't given it much thought, actually, but there are plenty of places I can post blogs.

That said, I haven't begun writing the new book yet, but I am getting plenty of ideas for it. I'm speaking of If Wishes Were Horses about the "genie" whom I have yet to name and Jordan Blaylock, my protagonist. Her friend's name is Zoe Holler. They will work at a ranch with horses, living on property, but threatened with eviction if they don't come up with money owed. I haven't decided what they will owe, but I want them to work at the ranch for housing, food, etc. So, naturally, when in debt, the debtor goes shopping and Jordan--a lover of antiques--( she describes herself as an old soul) finds an old oil lamp or so she thinks, and buys it because it is pretty and looks ancient. Well, it is, so she sets about cleaning it and out comes him-who-is-to-be-named-later. It's all very magical. Anyway, he's young and handsome, doesn't speak a word of English, and Jordan gets so scared, she chases him into her closet and locks him in there until Zoe gets home. Where it goes from there is anyone's guess right now.

I can see myself starting this novel very soon. It's coming along nicely in my head. As far as Angel Baby goes, I've just shelved it for the time being. If or when I get some more ideas for it, I'll work on it again.

Okay, I'm off to promote this update. Thanks for hanging in there with me. I'll do better. I promise.
