This poor blog needs some love and attention. I came to the site to do an admin thingie and thought, since I was on here, I might as well update everyone on what I have planned for the new year. Hard to believe it's the middle of January already.
Everyone knows about my idea for the new The Heaven Sent novel, Angel Baby, but recently, I got an idea for another novel with all new characters and storyline that may be a rival for my writing time. I don't have a title for it yet and I haven't named all my characters, but the main character will be a young woman named Jordan. She's down on her luck and late with her rent and tries to cheer herself up with some retail therapy at the local thrift shop. There she finds an antique oil lamp--or so she thinks. She buys it, takes it home, polishes it up and, you guessed it! Poof! A Genie. But not your typical genie. I haven't thought of the genie's name yet, but don't worry, he'll be tall, dark, and handsome. It's my take on the old I Dream of Jeannie sitcom.
I've never had two novel ideas going through my head at the same time. I'm not sure how to deal with it. I guess I'll work on whichever one I've got ideas for. I always have issues reading other romances while I'm writing so I'm planning on finishing the romance novel I'm currently reading and then reading nonfiction books until I get at least one of the novels done. Wish me luck.
