I didn't sell one book this past week during Smashwords' Read-An-EBook Week sale. No one downloaded the freebies, either. Normally I do well during these sales. I'm sad.
Okay, I really didn't promote it. I think I posted about it twice on Facebook and that was it. I should have put the sale out there on all my social media sites and I should have blogged about it. I guess I have no one to blame but myself.
Let's face it. I love writing the books. I love putting them out there for people to read and enjoy, but I HATE marketing. I really wish I had an agent. I haven't finished this webpage, either. I still have five books and two anthologies to add. Marketing. Bad. I have reconnected with my favorite marketing swag site, Vistaprint. I want to get new merch and hold some giveaways soon. Stay tuned.
I may put the eBooks on an unadvertised sale. I'll have less competition that way and then I can set my own prices. I know there will be a renewed interest in the books once Nightfall's Angel is published. It seems that way with books in the past. I'm up to chapter fifteen, 80 pages and 40,000 words. I'm hoping by the end of the month... I'm hoping. I hate to even say anything. I may jinx myself.
Until then,
Beeg
